I am sad to report that we are going to cancel our dance tonight. As a result, students will be dismissed at 9 pm instead of 10 pm.
I would like to apologize to any students or parents who were looking forward to the dance. I remember having a great time last year and I know many of you did, too. Unfortunately there were factors beyond my control that led to this decision. I will apply what I've learned to what we do in future band events.
I would like to assure all of you that it is not in my nature to make these kind of changes hastily. I don't like setting a schedule and then changing it at the last minute, and I'm sure you aren't fond of it either. I will be as open and communicative as possible and make sure that we give you as much as advanced notice as possible.

It would be a good idea to make sure your contact info is correct at charmsoffice.com (there is a NEWS section there as well).
In closing, I will be releasing info in the next couple hours that explains our upcoming practices and performances,. I want to make everything as clear as possible so you all can plan your lives around.
